After graduating from the University of Wisconsin - Madison, I started my own advertising agency in order to implement my innovative marketing techniques. I met with potential clients through networking and obtained free-lance marketing work. United2Nite hired me as their temporary Event Marketing Director and flew me to Portland, OR in June 2010. Communication and networking are key to acquiring business in a world cluttered by digital media and impersonal connections.
During my last year of college, I worked as Integrated Marketing Director for Pizza Hut. I developed an integrated marketing plan for the new location on campus in fall 2009. My marketing objective was to increase students’ awareness and profits for the new location by integrating Pizza Hut into students’ lifestyles. After the first two months, the campus location became the #1 delivery store in the region. Based on the results from the 2009-2010 school year, I developed a comprehensive marketing plan for the 2010-2011 year involving traditional media, online advertising, and campus promotions.
My past experiences enhanced my independence but I learned it is important to have a strong team of equally innovative people surrounding you. I want to work under seasoned professionals so that I can continue to learn more and grow in the field.
Playboy Enterprises initiated my professional career. My director, manager, and I helped revolutionize social media at an iconic company. I redesigned and managed our partner Youtube channel as an intern and was promoted after 3 months to Social Media Coordinator. I managed our Facebook page, ran our Playboy on Campus social-media program, wrote for Playboy’s blog, among other initiatives.
I currently work at Silver Chalice, a digital sports network start-up founded by the White Sox. I manage the audience development of Total College Sports and the ACC Digital Network.
